Yes, I have also been locating deposits of bat guano. It's all a matter of knowing where to find it. Thank you for the Acres resource.

There are a LOT of other manures available across the country. Chicken manure is very good. There are many other excellent, natural fertilizers available. Acres USA has excellent resources on this.

Yes, it is my aim to nix the commercial fertilizers completely. A mixture of horse manure, leaf litter/mulch, and constant wood chip mulching (from local landscaping) seems to do the trick nicely, especially with the rock dust & seaweed for remineralization. It is a lot of work.It is really a matter of availability in this area. I don't want to encourage mining of phosphorus, peat, and other natural resources just so I can have a garden. It's a very strong counter-purpose.

The only way I would call this combination to be a benefit is if we were comparing it to totally commercial. If you are adding organic soil amendments, that would make it much better than doing commercial only. If you were to use the proper and adequate amounts of organic soil amendments, the chemical fertilizers would not be necessary and the resulting produce would be healthier.

I would really like to see that.we need more organic foods man.

Awesome video. I'm so blessed to live in a Country where the topic of fertilizer is even an issue.

I grow many plants and trees using a combination of old and new methods. I use some commercial fertilizers for the NPK requirements of growing plants in this deficient sandy soil. I am of course constantly adding organic matter and compost to the soil. I re-mineralize using various rock dusts and seaweed extracts.Do you think a combination of technology (conventional) and organic (mineral/micronutrient conscious) farming is of benefit?
